13, 2008: The Oregon Army National Guard
Aviation Unit will be conducting Annual Flight Training
out of McNary Airport over the period 13 Jun - 27 Jun
2008. A noticeable increase in Army Helicopter Flight
Operations will be observed during this two week period.
Starting on the Sunday night, 22 June 2008 thru Friday
night, 27 June 2008 these flights may return back to
Salem Airport as late as 2:00 A.M. the following
morning. The Oregon Army National Guard is aware of
the potential increase in the volume of airport related
noise and has implemented procedures to reduce the
amount of airport traffic pattern work over Salem after
11:00 P.M. This flight training is a requirement to
prepare the aircrews for their pending mobilization and
deployment in 2009.
